|Big Event 2012 - Creative Projects Begin|
Dear Parents -
In the spring of 2012, the Ebinger Foundation will be hosting the Big Event Gala and Auction fundraiser for Ebinger School. As in the past, we would like each classroom/grade level to complete a creative project that will then be auctioned off as part of the event. We see this as an important piece of the fundraising effort, and it is also a terrific way to capture the creativity and imagination of our children.
We are looking for parent volunteers to help work on these projects – some projects can be done outside of the classroom and some may have to be done during school hours so we have all children together at one time. We will coordinate with the teachers on time so that we can minimize any disruptions to the classroom curriculum. Preferably we can work on these projects over the winter during an inside recess time.
We've also made a few changes to the way the projects will be handled this year:
We have created a list of projects for the children to work on. These proposed projects are age appropriate, creative and fit within the overall plan for the event (see below for list). And, projects will be done either at the classroom or grade level.
I will be your Creative Project Chairperson for the Big Event and once the parent volunteers have been established, I will be working with everyone to make sure the process goes smoothly. I will coordinate with the overall Big Event committee and help secure resources and support as needed for the projects. As Room Parents I am looking to you first to help establish the volunteers needed to complete these projects for your classrooms/grades. Please let me know if you are interested in working on these projects so that we can begin working on them. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you -
